Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 May 2026

Acceptance

By using LangOrbit (the web Reader at read.langorbit.com, the Telegram Mini App, or anything else served from the langorbit.com domains) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What the service is

LangOrbit is a language-learning tool focused on English. It offers a parallel-text Reader, a dictionary with spaced-repetition scheduling, and grammar references shown in context.

The service has a free tier — you can start without a card. Full access is paid; plans and pricing are announced in the app.

Your account

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens through your account. One account per person. Don't share login details.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Try to scrape, mirror, or systematically download large portions of the content.
  • Use the service to generate content at industrial scale (we have per-user rate limits — please respect them).
  • Attempt to break the security of the service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Use the service to do anything illegal in your jurisdiction.

Content rights

Reading material in the app is either in the public domain (classic literature whose copyright has expired) or licensed for our use. Translations are produced through a mix of human editing and AI models.

Your learning data — the words you save, your progress, your notes — belongs to you. You can export or delete it at any time. The app's source code, brand, and visual design are owned by LangOrbit and not licensed for reuse.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". Language learning takes time and effort — we can offer a good schedule and good reading material, but we can't guarantee any specific outcome.

We try hard for uptime, but the service may be unavailable for maintenance or due to factors beyond our control. We don't accept liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from unavailability.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the in-app settings, which removes your learning data within a reasonable window.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable-use clause. Where possible we'll give notice first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the LangOrbit operating entity is registered; it will be named here once registration is finalised. EU and UK residents retain the consumer-protection rights they have under EU/UK law, which these terms do not override.

Changes

We may update these terms. Substantive changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance.
